Our recent outing was a tropical delight as PRR residents enjoyed a refreshing visit to a local farm stall and café nestled amidst nature. The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and the delicious scent of freshly harvested tropical fruits like durian, cempedak, and more.
Residents had the opportunity to learn about the different fruit varieties, pick out their favourites, and enjoy a hands-on experience — all while soaking in the vibrant greenery and relaxed countryside charm. Of course, the highlight was sharing stories and good company over fresh fruits!
Following the fruit tasting, the residents visited a nearby nutmeg factory, where they received a guided tour and learned about the history and uses of this iconic Penang produce. They observed how nutmeg is processed into products such as oil, balm, and juice, and many took the opportunity to purchase handmade, locally sourced items as thoughtful gifts or personal keepsakes.
Every trip like this is more than a getaway — it’s about creating joyful moments, keeping active, and building stronger community bonds.
