Penang, 27 November – Residents of Penang Retirement Resort (PRR) recently enjoyed an exciting day trip to the charming city of Ipoh, filled with delightful culinary experiences, cultural exploration, and shopping adventures. The carefully curated itinerary offered something special for everyone, ensuring a memorable outing that reflects PRR’s commitment to providing enriching experiences for its residents.
The day began with a sumptuous breakfast at Ming Court Hong Kong Dim Sum, where residents indulged in an array of freshly steamed dim sum dishes, enjoying the authentic flavours that have made the restaurant a local favourite.
Next, the group headed to Ipoh Old Town, known for its quaint streets and vibrant shops. Residents had the chance to browse and purchase unique local products, ranging from traditional snacks to handmade crafts.
A highlight of the trip was the visit to the breathtaking Perak Cave, where residents admired the stunning limestone formations and serene atmosphere of the iconic temple.
The journey continued to Tambun Kee 888 Pomelo, where residents shopped for Tambun’s famous pomelos, a must-have treat from the region. The vibrant market offered a lively experience, showcasing the best of Ipoh’s agricultural produce.
Lunch was served at Restaurant Pusing Public, a renowned dining spot known for its delectable Chinese cuisine. Residents enjoyed a variety of dishes that highlighted the flavours of the region in a comfortable and convivial setting.
The group also explored Concubine Lane, a historical street lined with colourful shops and rich heritage. Residents enjoyed the opportunity to take in the sights, shop for souvenirs, and learn more about Ipoh’s fascinating history.
The trip concluded with a scenic return journey to PRR, where residents shared stories and laughter, reflecting on the delightful experiences of the day.
